Supporting Chennai Metro Water to strengthen water supply with a 150 MLD desalination plant and complementary demand management measures to be piloted in a zone.
- Review of existing infrastructure
- Identifying 3 suitable pilot zones using appropriate criteria
- Analyse strengths and weaknesses of each zone in terms of success factors, time required and local acceptance
- Identifying improvement measures for the selected pilot and cost estimation
- Review of institutional, management and operational framework and recommendations for implementation of pilot
- Identifying project beneficiaries including socio–economic profiles
